New Replacement Water Pump Early style
For use with front belt drive systems with 2 V-belts driving the AC compressor (i.e. factory ’68-’73 with 3-groove crank pulley and 2 groove AC compressor pulley)

For use with factory front belt drive systems with 1 belt driving the AC compressor (i.e. factory ’74-newer or aftermarket with 2-groove crank pulley and 1 groove AC compressor pulley) or engines without AC

425 and 500 Stainless Steel Timing Covers

Be careful of people advertising cheap high-volume water pumps, and even cheaper ‘stock’ replacement pumps. There are 3 pumps available new: Cheap junk (notably substandard compared to the OE pumps, sold by many as ‘OE replacement’), high quality stock replacement (sold by us and some others as ‘stock replacement’, but sold incorrectly as ‘high volume’ by the unscrupulous, simply because they are better than the cheap junk replacement pumps), and true high volume pumps, which are only made by FlowKooler. The FlowKooler pump pushes roughly 30% more coolant at idle, than the factory and high quality replacement pumps. The factory and high quality replacement pumps push nearly that much more at idle than the cheap junk replacement pumps. Looks can be deceiving, but if it’s not a FlowKooler, it’s not high volume.

Note: Stock heads will have 3 plugs per head. 2 per head will be the disc type (the hole will have a step so the plug can only go in so far). The third will be one of the following: Disc type plug like the other 2 (mostly ‘68-’69 engines) The press in cup type (like a standard freeze plug) (some ‘68-’69 engines and 425 heads). The 425 heads will have one plug and one press in 90º heater outlet. Threaded head plugs (pipe thread) – usually one plug and one heater outlet.
