This hub has offset flange spacing for correct pulley alignment using non-dampener pulleys with aftermarket performance dampeners that go between the pulley and hub, with the standard 4-bolt pulley pattern. This hub fits all 472 / 500 / 425 / 368 engines, and maintains the correct press-fit.

Description

Offset Billet Steel Crank Hub
This hub has offset flange spacing for correct pulley alignment using non-dampener pulleys with aftermarket performance dampeners that go between the pulley and hub, with the standard 4-bolt pulley pattern. This hub fits all 472 / 500 / 425 / 368 engines, and maintains the correct press-fit.

This is NOT a stock replacement crank hub.

This hub is a direct replacement for the stock crank hub, in tougher billet steel form. Suitable for any application for which the factory hub will fit, but you need a replacement (due to a lost or damaged factory hub), or something tougher. Fits all 472 / 500 / 425 / 368 engines.

This is the correct hub for:

  • Any pulley being used with the PB12401 performance damper (also works with some other similar dampers) that fits between the pulley and crank hub.

This is the wrong hub for:

  • Stock pulleys originally equipped with a factory damper between the hub and pulley, ’68-’73 (factory damper or equivalent spacer required for pulley alignment)
  • Stock pulleys originally equipped without a factory damper between the hub and pulley, ’71-newer (being installed with no damper)
  • All aftermarket pulleys being installed without a damper.
  • Any pulley being used with a damper with integrated hub (those only work with the hub that comes with them).
  • Just about everything else – if you were not told you needed to purchase an offset hub separately when buying a high-end race-spec vibration dampener, this is probably not the hub you are looking for.
