Torque Converter Adapter
This adapter can be used to bolt up a torque converter with a light duty bolt pattern (Powerglide, T300, TH350, 700R4, 200R4, 4L60, and many aftermarket performance converters for TH400 and 4L80E) to a flex plate intended for a TH400 or 4L80E.

WARNING: This adapter spaces the converter away from the flywheel by 5/16″, and will not generally work unless you are using a 5/16″ thick transmission adapter. The Cad Company 5/16″ thick adapters come with converter spacers (5/16″ thick machined washers), and you can discard those and use this adapter instead (do not use the converter adapter and machined washers together – it’s a 1-or-the-other kind  of thing). This converter adapter is known to be compatible with Cad Company transmission adapters DS31101, DS31103, kDS31201, and kDS31203. It is NOT compatible with adapter kDS31301.
It is likely compatible with 5/16″ thick adapters sourced elsewhere, but beware not all adapters are the correct thickness to work with this item, and you are responsible for determining if the converter freeplay is correct or not with this converter adapter.
